The Inspiring Young Successor
Iim Fahima is an inspiring young woman (32) with high achievement. She began her career in some major advertising bureaus. Within six years, she developed her careers in Publicist, McCann Worldwide and Matari. Her self-discipline and passion has helped her in gaining new knowledge as well in catching opportunity. In 2006, she noticed the changing tendency of media consumption pattern following internet penetration. Along with her husband Adhitia Sofyan, 27-year old Iim determined to start something new.
Despite the national crisis during the year, Iim and her husband decided to set up Virus Communications, a company that focus in the field of marketing consulting and online communication, and prepared themselves to face all possible risks. It was a blessing. The company could run and grew well. Within three years, it got stronger and won pitches held by national and multinational companies, even regional pitch. Soon the company leapfrogged into reputable company that handled dozens outstanding clients, among others: Hewlett Packard, Toyota, Telkom, Smart Telco, Tupperware, Sosro, and more. The company kept on undergoing rapid growth even when the competition in the market was getting tight since 2009. However, in order to further empower the business, Virus Communications decided to merge with Virtual Consulting last month. Together, the new Virtual Consulting would ensure its leadership in the market. Currently, Iim served as the key person in the operation of Virtual Consulting as well in the Online Strategies for all brands handled by Virtual.
As the acknowledgement of her achievement, Iim Fahima has just received three business awards in the last three years, namely 10 International Young Creative Entrepreneur 2008 IYCE by British Council, 25 Asia Best Young Entrepreneur 2009 by Business Week Asia and Young Woman Future Business Leader 2010 by Swa Magazine.
Outside the career world, she has also received Best Mom Award 2009 from Femina-L’oreal as a figure of inspiring woman with success story in both career and family life. For two years, she has given good example to the community by breastfeeding her baby without any additional milk. She remains active in influencing other women to breastfeed their kids through FB, Twitter and blog. She is also actively involved as speaker in a number of seminars, including in a series of “Entrepreneur Woman BNI-Femina” roadshow in 10 cities across this country.
